We are bringing back our Mallard 800E wind generators. Our Mallard 800E wind generators are built with the same strong frame and the same powerful PMA as our Mallard LW wind generators. The Mallard 800E features the traditional 6 carbon blade system. These blades will continue to increase in speed in high winds. The blades are tested in winds up to 100MPH. We build our Mallard wind generators to be tough and stand up in the face of the winds. Use a rubber cased cable such as SJ 10-3 to run the power from the 800E down through the center of the pole and to the storage batteries. This will allow the wind generator to turn and face the wind without the need for slip rings.
Carbon fiber blades do flex, so if you are in a high wind area be sure to have enough clearance between the blades and tower that the blades will not clip the tower if they flex back in extreme winds. Carbon fiber blades do make noise in high winds but they also will continue to increase in speed to produce more power in high wind speeds than our Mallard LW. In lower wind speeds the Mallard LW will produce more power than the 800E. The 800E is great if you are in a rural area without close neighbors. If you prefer a quiet system you will want to use our Mallard LW wind generator.
With the purchase of the Mallard 800E you will receive the mounting bracket, mounting sleeves, PMA, tail fin and 6 carbon fiber blades with mounting hub and bolts. The tail fin comes to you unpainted.

To help reduce shipping costs for our international customers we offer the option of purchasing our wind generators either with or without the tail piece. The tail piece ships in a separate package from the wind generator. By building the tail piece yourself you can reduce the cost of shipping. We send instructions to build the tail if you purchase the wind generator without it. Contact us if you wish to purchase without the tail piece.
If you live in an area that has a lot of rain, snow or has salt air we recommend having the stator and rotor in the wind generator weather coated for added protection.
