Adjustable Single Diversion Regulator

Use with either wind or solar power systems using 6 volt or 12 volt batteries

Use with your dump load either 12 volt or 24 volt

adjustable regulator

Different from our other diversion regulators, this regulator is adjustable. You can set this regulator to run on between 13.4 and 14.3 volts. Wind generators need to always have a load on them to prevent overspeeding. By using a diversion regulator you can keep the batteries from overcharging while still pulling power from the wind generator. These regulators can also be used with solar panels. This also allows you to use the excess power from your solar panels instead of simply turning off the power and wasting your peak hours of sunlight.

It acts as a switch to turn on your diversion load (dump load) when the voltage of the batteries are getting high. You can set this regulator to run on between 13.4 and 14.3 volts. This works for either 12 volt or 24 volt systems as long as you are using 6 volt or 12 volt batteries. The regulator will be connected to the batteries to work from 12 volts even if your system is wired to 24 volts. You do need to be using 6 volt or 12 volt batteries

You can use 12 volt lights, 12 volt water heating coils, 12 volt heaters, anything in 12 volt with this regulator. If you are using a 24 volt system you will need a 24 volt diversion load. Do not exceed 50 amps in a 12 volt diversion load or 25 amps in a 24 volt diversion load. These regulators can be used to dump up to 600 watts.

When using this type of diversion regulator you can still use the power from the batteries even while the regulator is on. Your wind generators and solar panels can continue charging the batteries at the same time also.
