Permanent Magnet Alternator PMA

 

Use our PMA to build a wind generator, water powered generator, or with anything that will turn it. With the low price of this PMA you can let your imagination go wild. The possibilities are endless. This PMA will produce power by being turned in either direction, clockwise or counter-clockwise. This makes it easy to create your own electricity.  We make our PMAs from remanufactured GM alternators. They each have a very strong neodymium magnet, specially wound stator, and new bearings. These are the PMAs that we use in our Mallard systems and have such wonderful results from. This PMA is specially made to work with low RPMs which makes it ideal for wind power. We build these in 12 and 24 volt.

If you are building a wind generator we also have blade sets available. If you are producing your own hydroelectric be sure to add the fan and pulley kit. You can also use our PMA to create electricity from your old water pumping windmill. Mike can help you with instructions on how to figure out the ratio to get the correct speed from the larger farm style blades of the water pumping windmills.

The PMA as pictured above is set up for direct drive use, just as we use it in our wind generators. If you need the fan and pulley attached to the PMA be sure to add the fan & pulley option below.

If you are using your PMA in an area that receives a lot of rain, snow or salt air we highly recommend have our weather coating applied before we send it to you.

As with any wind generator take ALL safety precautions. Only work on putting up your wind generator during low or no winds. Use at your own risk.

You can purchase the PMA with the pulley if you need to gear your system. Simply add the purchase of optional cooling fan and pulley. This option is only available with the purchase of a PMA because we do not add any shipping cost to the purchase price of the fan and pulley kit. We will install the cooling fan and pulley on the PMA for you before we ship.
