3 Blade set for low winds

Build your own wind generator or replace the blades on your existing wind generator with our low wind blade set. We use these blades on our Low Wind Mallard LW wind generator. You can upgrade your Mallard 800E to become a low wind system with these blades. They will fit right on with no adaption needed. When upgrading your Mallard 800E to become a low wind system to get the best results you should change the stator winding to the next highest voltage at the same time so that it will reach charging voltage sooner. This will allow charging in as low as 5MPH winds. Or you can keep the stator but it will need around 10MPH winds to start charging. It will still get more power more quickly with these new Low Wind blades.

Each aluminum blade is approximately 9" wide at the base. When completely asembled with blades, extender bases and hub the diameter of the set is 5 feet.

With your purchase you receive three aluminum blades, three extenders, the hub and the nuts and bolts. The hub is made to fit the 17 mm shaft of a GM alternator core. This is the same type of GM alternator core that many PMAs, including our own, are made from.
