We are having a great time teaching our very first workshop! Mike and Joy are on the far right of the photo with our oldest son, Jeremy next to us. We are here with the wonderful people who are taking our workshop this week. We will post more pictures of the workshop in the next few weeks.

LEARN TO BUILD AND INSTALL YOUR OWN WIND POWER SYSTEM
NOW OFFERING A FIVE DAY WORKSHOP!

Mike’s Windmill Shop, LLC is now offering classes to teach you how to build and install your own wind power system. You will learn from Mike himself here in our shop in Show Low, Arizona. You will learn building techniques, how to maintain the system and to get the time to practice what you learn with Mike here to guide you.

You will learn by hearing it presented to you, by watching the demonstrations and by practicing it yourself here in the shop during the workshop. You will also receive a manual with the techniques that you learn detailed with pictures, diagrams and instructions. You will be taught how to build a simple, easy to maintain system. You will even learn to wind axial flux coils yourself, using tips and tricks that Mike has discovered that make the winding easy and effective.

The things that you will learn during the course include how to
…build and test these types of wind generators Axial Flux wind systems in both single phase and three phase, GM alternator PMA wind system and Permanent Magnet Motor wind systems. These type of wind generators range from 4’ diameter to 8’ diameter. During the workshop, as a class, you will build two or three of these wind generators here in our shop. We will have the supplies that you can purchase at a student discount to build your own wind generators in your garage or shop.

… install wind generators and solar systems for off grid living
… wire to an off grid home
… run part of your home with off grid power while still keeping the rest on grid
… test the power production
… connect to an off grid inverter

Also learn to build tilt up towers and wind generators that can be pulled out of the winds. Learn to build wind generators strong enough that you can keep them facing the wind. Hand wind stator coils and build a magnet rotor. Learn to build using tools found in many home workshops. Mike will teach, demonstrate and then have you practice what you have learned.

Mike’s theory is to keep it simple. We will teach you to build a simple and easy to maintain system that will power your home for many years to come. You will learn to be more self sufficient and to be prepared in case of emergency. Mike has over 20 years of personal experience with wind generators. He has been in the business for 7 years. During the time that you are here in our shop and classroom you will learn the tips and tricks that he has learned over the years.

Contact us for more information and to reserve your spot in one of our classes. You will receive a 5% discount if you pay in full when scheduling the class. Or you can make a deposit and then make payments each week as long as the class is paid in full at least two weeks before the class starts. If you cannot attend a class that you have already reserved a spot in you can reschedule to another date free of charge. If you must cancel without rescheduling there will be a cancellation fee. Class size is limited at this time to allow for personalized instruction. Hurry, classes will fill up quickly!

5 day course includes 30 hours of instruction and experience - $500

DISCOUNT if you have two people taking the class together. If you want to take the class with a family member or friend you can both sign up, receiving one instruction/class manual to share between the two of you and take the class for $400 each, total $800 for two people. By doing this you will save on class fees and you can also share travel and lodging expenses.
